Sheryl has a background in fine arts and recently graduated with her Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. At UT she received many honors including the Excellence in Design Award for her proposal for Arthouse Texas with studio partner Raquel Lopez-Sierra. She received a full scholarship to study in Florence for six weeks, participated in a BaSIC Initiative design-build project in Sonora, Mexico, and was a 2005 Solar Decathlon team member. Additionally, she served on a faculty search committee and assisted editing the first edition of ISSUE:, the UT Architecture student publication. When not immersed in architecture, she enjoys populating her coffee table with large books, doting on her cats, and watching people and movies.
